Planning

Planning efforts develop long range goals and objectives to provide an integrated and strategic approach to large, complex projects that may evolve over a period of years with multiple designers. Products include defining the mission, program and design guidelines within a generalized development plan.

Feasibility Studies

Feasibility studies identify the suitability of sites for a particular development program. Alternate conceptual designs are explored; budget planning and cost analysis help identify implementation strategies and phasing. These may be coordinated with market studies or other research to support a decision to proceed.

Design Concept Development

Design begins with the development and approval of a concept that will guide and inform all subsequent design activities for a particular project. Olin Partnership focuses significant effort during this phase to ensure a coherent and unified approach to problem solving.

Design Development

Design development refines the approved concept through a series of investigative drawings that qualify and quantify critical aspects of project implementation, including construction technologies, materials and plants.

Construction Documents

Construction documents, including technical drawings and specifications, are prepared as part of a bid package for contractors. A final construction cost estimate can be prepared at this time.

Study Models and Presentation Drawings

Study models and presentation drawings can be prepared both as part of the design evaluation process and as a means of marketing a project.

Construction Phase Services

During the construction phase of work, regular site visits, review of shop drawings and materials submissions, and visits to nurseries and fabricators ensure that construction fulfills the design intent.
