News- Olin Partnership receives honors from the American Society of Landscape Architects.



Laurie D. Olin, Founding Partner, FASLA

Laurie's work examines the role common aspects of the environment play in creating landscapes that are exemplary and uncommon. Laurie is Practice Professor of Landscape Architecture and Regional Planning at the University of Pennsylvania. In 1991, he won the Bradford Williams Medal for his writing on the history and theory of landscape architecture. Laurie is a Fellow of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences and an Honorary Member of the American Institute of Architects.



Dennis C. McGlade, FASLA

Dennis uses his love of horticulture, knowledge of garden history and strong design sense to create memorable landscapes rich in sensory experience. His expertise in innovative planting technology has set new standards of practice for sustaining landscapes in the most challenging environmental conditions. Dennis regularly teaches the Planting Workshop at the University of Pennsylvania, lectures nationally and writes on topics of planting design and technology.



Robert J. Bedell, ASLA

Bob is a skilled problem solver who consistently provides support for the visionary ideals of Olin Partnership. His pragmatic approach to complex issues, such as schedules, contracts and legal matters, provides a stable foundation that fosters the firm’s innovative designs. In addition, Bob’s vast experience as a landscape architect allows him to meaningfully guide and contribute to the design process surrounding many of the firm’s projects.

 





Lucinda R. Sanders, ASLA


Cindy's belief in the importance of the urban environment in the 21st century has produced dynamic design notable for its sensitivity to locale. Her work captures the spirit of the future in bold explorations of program, meaning and form. She is an Associate Adjunct Professor at the University of Pennsylvania and lectures locally and nationally on the work of Olin Partnership.





Susan K. Weiler, ASLA

Susan's expertise in engineering and advanced construction technologies is the underpinning of work that restores or recreates some of the more fragile and threatened components of the American cultural and natural landscape. She translates vision into built environment with marvelous skill and sensitivity. Susan worked with Temple University to develop its landscape engineering and construction curriculum. She regularly teaches Landscape Architecture at Temple University and the University of Pennsylvania.


David A. Rubin, ASLA

David's work successfully blends classic design ideals with modern sensibilities, addressing infrastructure with innovative "green" solutions to create spaces that engender positive social interaction and purpose. His extensive background in fine art allows him to sensitively express Olin Partnership's philosophy of blending art and science to transform social and environmental systems. David's collegial and optimistic personality is infectious and has earned him a reputation among clients and colleagues as an indispensable team member who promotes vigorous collaboration, essential to the design process.
