1 2 3 4 Pershing Square Concrete Stamp, Los Angeles, California Olin Partnership designed a unique stamp for all of the concrete paving at Pershing Square. As opposed to the typical use of concrete stamping, Olin Partnership wanted to ensure that the concrete work did not 'masquerade' as something other than what it is. Olin Partnership used the principals of human scale to inform the dimensions of the geometric pattern while formally integrating the necessary expansion joints into the overall pattern of the paving. Olin Partnership went through extensive design development with Sullivan Concrete, testing the size, color and depth of the stamp in order to ensure the very best final results.
